Nobody's kicking anybody here. It's all just some typing and in my country we have freedom of speech. And calling the people who type it vermin is probably not helping.
I suggest a more reasoned approach backed up by the minimum of legislation to make it work. This of course would have to be enforced and that takes up somebody's time when I'm sure they would rather be doing something more rewarding than rat-catching.
Now if you can just tell us exactly where the line between mutually enjoyable banter and unacceptable criticism is to be drawn we can submit it to The Lord Chief Justice right away.

As a mere user I'm aware that mods don't really like being lectured on how to run their site and there's a narrow line to walk.

Given that after a possibly unwise comment a while back, I'm on a watch-list, I've probably said enough & stated my case adequately. I will now leave it to the mods.

Like I said - read the QOTW history. You'll find many, many similar statements in there from people who have added value to this site that they are withdrawing, in protest against that un-addressed small minority who only add bile
