I've known Captain Placid for many years. He's a great friend, a great father and a great bloke.

But right now that doesn't matter a dog's cock to you lot. And quite rightly. Why should it?

What we should bear in mind though however, is that Captain Placid is also a great B3tard. He's one of us. He knows how we speak and our humour. It's what makes us all choc-full of awesomeness.

Saying 'result' with his tongue planted firmly in his bearded cheek is no different to the Maddie jokes we all laugh at, or the peado, 'Baby P', bestiality gags and other 'tasteless' comments that we all say regularly.

We say these things...because we can. Yay for us.

I'm inclined to agree not only with Tourettes' & DG's excellent comments above, but also with the /talk people here. It's the internet. Get over it.

I am lucky enough to know the real CP, a man that despite his size, solidity, and weapons grade status, is a genuine gentlemen amongst spakkers like me. Believe me, when the shit hits the fan, you'd want him on your side.

His daughters are fantastic girls, who after the divorce chose to live with him. They have subsequently been brought up to be fine, well adjusted people. This is a testament to CP's parental skills, which is why I can take this post in the context with which it was intended. I know he won't lose a millisecond's sleep over the people who have taken offence. Call him a cunt, it's your right to do so if you want. He won't care.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you're easily offended by people's opinions and the usage of freedom of speech, then you're on the wrong site.

Well said sir - as usual you've said what I think only better. CP is a top bloke and his daughters and step-daughter are lucky to have him. There are people in this life (and I use the word "people" in the loosest sense possible) who, no matter what their age, background, upbringing/influences, are capable of inflicting hideous pain and torture on others. In my book that makes them evil and devoid of humanity. Ergo they don't warrant being treated humanely. Personally, I can think of a few "people" whose graves I'd gladly shit on, and in whose deaths I rejoiced.
