A quick google suggests that this isn't entirely impossible...Ganymede and Callisto get far enough away from Jupiter to be distinguishable. It's mainly the glare of Jupiter that would make it difficult (so sharp-sighted people would be able to see them if they block out Jupiter behind a post or whatever).
So it's just credible that a few, rare people would have exactly the right combination of sharp focus and glare resistance to see them.
Simple to call them on it, though, as they're easy to see with binoculars...

I have better than 20/20It's true. The japs for example have a more detailed test, ican't be arsed to google it but it may be 10/10...So more than posible, in fact, it's a fact.
