This.It comes from 'butterface', which means 'but her face'. I.e. nice body, but her face was ugly. It's since been shortened to butters and come to mean anything ugly, whether it's a woman's face or not.

I think it comes from butt ugly actually.
You can have something "butters" that isn't a woman with good bits and bad bits.
