Health & SafetyThese two terms have been lumped together by the Corporate Establishment. And the phrase "Health & Safety" has become so ingrained into people's vocabulary - especially those who love corporatespeak - that it appears they are not capable of speaking about one without the other.
"The ladder must be secured - for health and safety reasons".
No, for fuck's sake! The security of the ladder has BUGGER ALL to do with "health" - it's ONLY about safety.
Pisses me right off when people parrot out this phrase: it's become so worn out that it's meaningless.
