oh! and ignorant!

when people use the word ignorant instead of ignoring.

''youre being ignorant to wards me'' when it should be ''stop ignoring me''

yeah, took me a little while to get my head around what the fuck they were actually trying to say.

someone else must have heard this?!!! ive heard this a few times, and its become so common i actually have stopped correcting the race!

I can't say I've heard it used as you describe. However, most of the good ol' boys (and girls) around where I grew up use "ignorant" to mean "disrespectful." They say things like "Stop being ignorant to me!" or, the favorite, "You're just... ignorant" when they feel affronted.
Does that expand your definition a bit, or is it a use you've not encountered down your end?
