and you may understand why it does stand out as a particularly good day.

I also passed top of my year group in my secondary school Dutch class and was the only non-native.

Forgive me for regarding such triumphs as moderate to good rather than "minor" as you suggested.

And looking through your profile I would say that the below quote would suggest we may have one or two things in common. Except I was talking about Dutch Nationalist types ;-)
