I don't understand the attraction
Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

I can't see why
winged beasts are so attracted to my blood. I was bitten on the lower shin by something last week whilst I slept, and the itching woke me up. Or rather scratching myself raw in my sleep woke me up. Eventually, the swelling went away along with the 2 inch wide blemish that looked not unlike a port-wine stain birthmark thing.
I've now got a tiny tiny scab, which I've just accidentally pulled off whilst scratching my leg and now I'm losing a lot of claret.

sounds like....
A tic..... check out the 'tic bite' images on Google.
So, not actually winged at all.... more a bloated sack of blood-vermin.
But you'd better get yourself to the doctor. Those things carry horrible diseases. You weren't anywhere near deers, were you?

no, I was in bed.
It got me on the back of the knee on my other leg as well. Right on the crease too.
I'd had a skinful that night so hopefully it got passively pissed and choked on its own vomit.

Doesn't sounds much like it to me
A tic is an involuntary movement.
A tick is an annoying little bug.

I feel for you
The little buggers love me to bits.
Manys the time ive wanted to cut off a limb because the pain and swelling from one little bite was driving me insane.
Horse flies and mosquitos, what is the bloody point of their existence?

I'm told that certain blood groups attract mozzies and horseflies
which seems to happen to me.
Buy some anti-histamine cream. Squeeze out a match head-sized blob and rub directly onto fresh bites. The relief is immediate and dramatic!
Also works on old bites that are still painful. I always cover the whole red area with cream, works just as well.
