My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

Leopard print can be ok, but under limited circumstances1) The person is somewhat rock or at a rock venue
2) It should not be worn on any flesh that bulges improperly
3) The wearer must be ironically aware of the fact that any animal-print is trashy
