Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."
My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.
What stuff do you think is common?

this must have been 10-15 years ago. I believe he still has them.
They are well-made and comfortable, but they look like shit and are hideously over-priced.
and the girls who wear them with their fucking Exeter Uni hoodies and track suit trousers or leggings tucked inside the boots must all be rounded up and shot. First with huge amounts of semen (riddled with teh Bad AIDS) then in a more conventional fashion using guns and/or cannon.

I just googled them, and I now believe they're called that because they look like something cavemen might've worn.
