Common
Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."
My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.
What stuff do you think is common?

Sweet suffering mother of christ -
it's only Monday morning. Do we really have to suffer another three and a half days of bigoted, inane lists about poor people? Isn't there some emergency question-change clause we can invoke?

Actually
I think the mods will let this run longer than usual, just to annoy us.
It's an interesting little experiment in social attitudes though, the way the last two QsotW have been juxtaposed!

No.
It is what the unwashed masses desire - and I'll suffer good and long if it means the commoners are kept in their place!
More brandy?

That sounds
like the rantings of a poor person to me. I shall just ignore it and continue kicking puppys stuffed with foie gras.
