Secret conspiracies are bullshit
Have you ever worked for any one else, be it a small family business or a large multinational company?
If you have, you'll know for sure that the higher up the food chain, the more incompetent the employees/ers are.
So how on earth can people who can't organise a piss-up in a brewery able to orchestrate, and conceal, world controlling projects?

That
is what they want you to think.

Middle-management are just a smokescreen.

The ones who orchestrate and conceal world controlling projects
are the ones who started with nothing and build an organisation underneath them. They purposely cultivated a layer of incompetent middle management as a smoke-screen, while simultaneously building a parallel "dark infrastructure" (like dark matter, but with better health care) of competent people carefully cultivated and picked from the lower ranks.

This "dark infrastructure" (sometimes known as the "Men In Black") are responsible for releasing middle-of-the-road rap tunes loaded with subliminal messages designed to keep the rest of us docile while they execute their leaders' nefarious plans.

Edit: the technology the "Men In Black" use to hide their subliminal messages is provided by the same lizard people as the ones who killed the Royal Family at the start of the second world war, replacing them with their own people masked as not-quite-convincing copies.
