I enjoyed reading this tremendously.As was the case with the Saturn V rocket, Concorde and now the Space Shuttle, we haven't been able to replace these amazing technological achievements with even more amazing technological achievements. We used to be able to send people to the moon, take them across the Atlantic in 3.5 hours and send them into space with tonnes of equipment to build a space station. We can't do that anymore and I find that terribly sad.
