Conversation Killers
ThatNiceMan asks: Have you ever been talking with people down the pub when somebody throws such a complete curveball (Sample WTF moment: "I wonder what it's like to get bummed") that all talk is stopped dead? Tell us!

ok
... which side is supposed to look bad here?
The "lonely and boring" one who would rather socialize, or the ones who like gaming and refuse conversation?

Well....
....There was an active conversation between 3 people with a common interest. I'd say that the person who called them sad and killed the conversation was supposed to look bad. Also, the person in question is hardly popular because of EXACTLY THIS KIND OF SHIT.

as you report it
you weren't being called sad. Your situation was being described as sad.
Really, what would have been wrong with replying along the lines of "oh it's just a bit of harmless fun y'know"?
Apart from the fact it doesn't work well in ALL CAPS, of course.
