Was wrong about a lot of things, but he had some interesting ideas about religion. The theories behind the Oedipus complex are quite interesting too, but he carries his conclusions far too far. I wouldn't say that everything he did was shit though.

It was his daughter, Anna Freud that you want to watch out for. She reckoned that when children are playing with their food, they're actually playing with their shit... in their heads or metaphorically or some bollocks.
