We wanted a monkey butler and bought one off eBay. Imagine our surprise when we found it was just an ordinary monkey with rabies. Worse: It had no butler training at all. Tell us about your duff technology purchases.

...should I get a breadmaker or not then?
Chickenlady owns a cupcake maker, which is a lot like a breadmaker but with cupcake sized cutouts in it. It's very nice.

They use it to make all their bread, and even with buying expensive organic flour, it's still cheaper than buying loaves.
However, it does take up quite a bit of space, so you'll need to be able to put it somewhere it's not in the way.
