Getting an answerphone messagefrom a text-to-voice service. It was the freakiest thing I ever heard, particularly because I couldn't make head or tail of what they were saying.

My technophobic sister goes abroad several times a year and if I get wind of it I text her an insulting messagelike 'Fuck off to Madeira, you old slag!'
I'm not sure that she knows how I do it, even now. All she can do is keep her holidays a secret.
