Creepy!
Smash Monkey asks: "what's the creepiest thing you've seen, heard or felt? What has sent shivers running up your spine and skidmarks running up your undercrackers? Tell us, we'll make it all better"

and the game 'siren' or 'bloodsiren' both those games had terrifying soundtracks, plus you could get into the heads of the monsters using your in-game psychic skills - listening to every thought, as they giggle and scream and chatter dementedly.
Also the asylum level in manhunt.

It totally freaked me out
mainly because I was totally not expecting it. I picked it up from CeX for a couple of quid for the Xbox, and for the first part it was a bit like the first game, but then suddenly I'm in the middle of a survival horror game!
I managed about ten minutes before playing it on mute
