This is a question Creepy!

Smash Monkey asks: "what's the creepiest thing you've seen, heard or felt? What has sent shivers running up your spine and skidmarks running up your undercrackers? Tell us, we'll make it all better"

I have played Silent Hill
I have played Resident Evil
I have played Shadowman.

None of them, but none of them are as pants-shittingly terrifying as the sound of a zombie or skeleton in minecraft when you're miles from the spawnpoint with low health and tonnes of precious ore.

These guys should take a leaf out of Mojang's book.

Peaceful mode FTW
Plenty of games have made me shout and swear in frustration but, in all my 20-some years of gaming, Minecraft is the one and only game that's made me scream in terror like a big girly wuss. Fuck creepers.

...that said, even peaceful mode doesn't stop you falling into lava pools and losing all your gear.

After playing on Peaceful mode for a good month
I've been finally brave enough to change the settings to normal.

Died once (to a creeper), and managed to kill one of everything. So pretty happy with myself.

So I tend to build a small base (Big enough for a chest and a crafting table. If I travel any length of distance from my main base.

Once when I made a Quarry, I made two bases for it. One at the top and one near the bottom of it.
