That feeling of sudden despair in a particular place has a name, can't remember what it's called but it's quite a well known thing. There's a place I hate on one of my dogwalking routes because I feel that someone hanged themselves there, and Mr Quar gets edgy as we pass another spot. I like to spook him by strolling over to that one, of course.
