This is a question Creepy!

Smash Monkey asks: "what's the creepiest thing you've seen, heard or felt? What has sent shivers running up your spine and skidmarks running up your undercrackers? Tell us, we'll make it all better"

Great story, sounds WELL creepy.
That feeling of sudden despair in a particular place has a name, can't remember what it's called but it's quite a well known thing. There's a place I hate on one of my dogwalking routes because I feel that someone hanged themselves there, and Mr Quar gets edgy as we pass another spot. I like to spook him by strolling over to that one, of course.

It's called being a credulous moron.
Still ... nice that you've found a match. Keep the pool clear for the grown ups.

I've remembered the name
for a horrible, soul-less place which fosters nothing but horror and despair is.

Bracknell.
