I've just been out for a lunchtime stroll, and for some reason the town is full of weird, misshapen people with deformed, twisted faces, shuffling about and leering evilly.
More than usual, I mean. It's like the Walking Dead out there. I made it back to the office at a run!

Which has its fair share of crusties, chavs, wierdos, greebos, townies, punks, hippes, misfits and casualties -- "the Good, the Bad, the Average, and the Unique", as someone once put it.
But there's something more today - a far higher number of scarily odd people -- it looks like that old movie "Freaks" :

To be honest moon monkey, I have to agree, the London road is like Jeremy Kyle, Lewes Rd is Crusty/studentville and If you sit at the pub in Kensington Gardens you can play spot the normal person walking past.
