This is a question Cringe!

Chickenlady winces, "I told a Hugh Grant/Divine Brown joke to my dad, pretending that Ms Brown was chewing gum so she'd be more American. Instead I just appeared to be still giving the blow-job. Even as I'm writing this I'm cringing inside."

Tell us your cringeworthy stories of embarrassment. Go on, you're amongst friends here...

Calling your teacher at school...
Mum. By mistake. Oh the shame.

Boss
I did the same calling my boss, Dad. And me aged 23. Ow!

same
What made it much worse was the teacher (who looked nothing like my mother) patted my head and shouted so the whole class could hear:

"I'm not your Mummy!"

I then went to the reading corner and shat my pants. Horrific!

It's ok
I sometimes have to fight down the urge to say "Oh, mum!" to my husband when he does something particularly stupid....

I'm growing out of it, but still. People haven't noticed the very few times it's happened in public!

Neither did the remark.

Awful!
The only upside was, my Mum worked at the same school, so the teachers always let me get away with it!

Mum
I did that in school.
Twice.
In different years.
With different teachers.

I also once called my wife my ex girlfriends name. Brain error.
