an aquaintance of mine once referred (in a live TV panel discussion) to Nigeria as the dark horses of the World Cup. The station's switchboard melted down in about 45 seconds with the volume of calls.

I'd like to see an on-air apology
along the lines of "We're deeply sorry that so many of you are thick as shit and more sensitive than a paper cut to the japs eye. We're even more sorry that they allow you to have phones."
