Sex on a beach
Great in theory. But getting rid of the sand for hours afterwards can be a real pain in the arse, no pun intended.

Oh yes
I had planned romantic midnight beach romp with my g/f years ago. We spent 5 secs (not that romantic!) getting naked and the next thirty minutes spitting sand at each other.

oh god, don't remind me!
it's cold, damp, uncomfortable, you manage to kneel on broken shells and get stones digging in the small of your back, there are sandflies and little biting things, not to mention the fact that trying to get sand out of your ladyparts is no easy job, even with a shower.

I agree, but even when it wasn't cold, it was lousy. Take Cuba during the afternoon, for instance; sunburns can be excrutiating when they're on certain parts of the anatomy.

Shells
Yeah, sex on the beach is not all its cracked up to be. The shells can be a real hassle. Mind you, summer of '44 at Omaha Beach was not my best holiday all round.
