My Biggest Disappointment
Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."
Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.
What's disappointed you lot?

Birthdays
Mine are always crap!
18th Birthday
No friends, stayed at home in a small seaside town in Somerset doing nothing.
21st Birthday
Attempted to organise going out with friends, 1 was on holiday, nobody else wanted to go out. Stayed in.
30th birthday
This is just over 3 weeks time. I expect to be severely disappointed!

Don't get this idea
that everyone else is out there having a really good time and just not invited you.
It's not true, it's just GAP adverts that make it look like that.

Oh no
I hate GAP adverts and don't believe them, I just wish that someone would do something special for me on my birthday, but I know it'll never happen.

No
I know it's "do unto others and you would have them do unto you". I should do, you're right.

Holy fuck!
This HAS to be a Somerset thing.
An exact copy of my Birthday woes, my 30th is coming up in 4 weeks and I'm a Somerset man.
I have made the decision not to do anything.

I am a child of December...
...born halfway 'twixt Christmas and New Year. As such, I never really bothered with birthdays because everyone was busy or tired from all teh parteez. I went for a pint with my dad on the morning of my twenty-first (which was nice, as I didn't see him enough in those days). I seem to recall I did stuff all for my eighteenth.
I am now lucky enough to have a wonderful lady buzzing around me who is already planning my thirtieth, which is possibly jumping the gun slightly because I'm twenty-nine later this year.
In my opinion, a small seaside town trumps Luton.
