
I just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.
Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

Despite everyones predictions, they're still solid and show no sign of falling down even though they're overflowing with books.

Just about everything I've put up comes under this rule: if it stays put for 10 minutes, it's there for life.
On another note - the other half will not allow me to touch anything that doesn't involve demolition as quote "You use too much force."
It's only DIY she has this complaint about mind...
