LumpI've had a lump on the top of my head for a while now. Was thinking of getting it lanced but reading this QOTW has inspired me to whack it with a hardback copy of "Tommy Walsh's DIY Survival" my ex gave me as a present several years ago.

That's not a good plan.It's likely a sebaceous cyst. If you burst such things they'll come back. It's a simple matter to have them removed under a local anaesthetic, but if they've burst it can be a bugger to get all of the cyst wall out, which means they can reform.
Harmless, right enough, but annoying.
