Eccentrics
We all know someone who's a little bit strange - Mum's UFO abduction secret, or the mad Uncle who isn't allowed within 400 yards of Noel Edmonds.
Tell us about your family eccentrics, or just those you've met but don't think you're related to.

On the way to work just 1/2 hour ago
Me and a mate in traffic heading towards the office. We reach a speed bump road passing a school, and Richy lowers his speed accordingly.
Unfortunately though a car heading past us in the other direction did not, as the old man driving the Peugot 206 hit the speed bump in front of us doing 30+ and aptly being thrown from his chair directly head first into his own roof, before mouthing off obscenities and slowing down for the next bump. Lolz.

Speed limits
Speed bumps should be designed so that they may be traversed at the speed limit with no discomfort or damage to one's vehicle, and should only lead to damage and/or discomfort if one exceeds the speed limit while crossing them. Those cunts who design speed bumps which require one to slow down to 5MPH before crossing them - in a 30MPH zone - need to be killed. Drop the speed limit first, fuckwits, if you want to use that sort of speed bump.

^^ hear, hear
They call it 'traffic calming' but all it does is make cars slow down for the bump, then speed up until the next one...where's the logic in that?

A 30 mph speed limit
Means that 30 mph is the maximum speed allowed by law, NOT the target speed to be aspired to. If you're on a street with parked cars and other hazards you should be driving at whatever speed is safe to do under the circumstances - if you were to hit and kill a child because you weren't able to stop in time, pleading "but I was doing the speed limit!" won't cut much ice...
