This is a question Expensive Weekends

Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

Norwegian Wedding.......
A good friend got married to a Norwegian lass it a large church in Bergan norway. Now for those of you that dont know, Norway has loads going for it but its one major down side is that everything costs the bloody earth.

The first night i was there i shouted a round for 8 of us which basically was 8 half pints of Toubourg beer which came to a staggering £54! After that it was every man for themselve and by them selves.

By the end of the weekend i had done just shy of a grand, and i was being reserved!

As i say..... Norway, amazing place..... as long as you are tea total!

Wow
That's more expensive per ml than the clubs in ibiza. In the clubs there a beer will cost you 9 euro (so slightly more than one of your half pints) but at least it's 330ml rather than a half pint!

I've got a new job for a company in Norway
I'm spending the whole of August there (it's usually based in Berlin). I am truly terrified of what I'll spend - not least as it'll be just after my first month's pay comes in.

It's unbelievable...
Worked there last year at a festival for 10 days. Beautiful country, relaxed people, and all spoke good English which is highly impressive.

Worked very long hours, but one day I popped to the on-site shop to get a few beers for us to drink at the end of the shift. Unfortunately they all had to be opened and drunk in the area outside the shop, so I had to decline the purchase. When I got back to the office I realised I had just saved myself £30 on 6 bottles of beer.

Stuck with a bottle of fizzy pop each day as a treat - at a mere £2.50 a pop (500ml). Fuck the clothes this year - I'm bringing booze.

If Oslo's anything to go by everything is expensive.
I'm planning on moving there next year to live with my girlfriend. As a fan of the odd tipple I know I'll have to change my ways hen I'm there -- did you come across the wine monopoly shops while you were there? Makes the most expensive offie here look like Macro.

cheap exports
Normally we'll pick up cheap booze when going away, except when visiting friends in Norway, we go to the local supermarket and stock up and take it with us.

Even the Norwegians go to Sweden for their cheap shopping.
