I decided to find out....
...how long I could get away with writing my real thoughts in all work e-mails, and then turning the abusive text to a white font.
It only shows up if someone highlights the text.
Answer: not long enough. Experiment not since repeated.

A mate of mine did a similar thing
to me a few years back. But I used a Unix machine and a text-based e-mail program at the time so it didn't work.
