This is a question Faking it

Rakky writes, "We've all done it. From qualifications to orgasms, everyone likes to play 'let's pretend' once in a while."

So when have you faked it? Did you get away with it? Or were your mendacious ways exposed?

Have a clicky

No need mate.
I've just been an idiot. Maybe I'll come back in a few years, with a different username and less of a strop on.

(I didn't actually have a strop on, by the way.)

@DJ
You should stay. You never know what you might learn. These snooty fuckers are full of pearls.

@Baz
Message recieved and understood. I'll just get rid of my profile (which is rather spazzed up) and change my username.
Edit: Any suggestions for new username?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:27, closed)
BUt then
We'd all know it was you and there goes your anonimity. Can I suggest Davey fae tha toon?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:29, closed)
@DJ
Folk respect a man who can learn his lesson.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:33, closed)
@Teran
As in 'the town' or Newcastle? Bear in mind I'm Scouse.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:33, closed)
I'm sure they do Baz
They probably prefer me to the noob who posted shopped child pr0n on the main board recently.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:35, closed)
As in the town
I be Scottish
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:40, closed)
@Teran
And I be not. So...hmm.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:42, closed)
erm, ok,
any chance you're your own worst enemy?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:42, closed)
I meant it
in the sense that I would never have meant tha toon to be newcastle. Quite perplexed about that really.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:43, closed)
@Baz
OK, I'm RISing now.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:43, closed)
*scratches head*
what does 'RISing' mean ?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:48, closed)
What, never heard the term 'RIS'?
All I meant is, I don't understand.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:50, closed)
RIS
Never heard of it - would you like to explain ?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:51, closed)
I have explained.
Jesus, you're hard work. ;)
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:54, closed)
@Baz
As people keep telling me.....Google is your friend.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:55, closed)
From urbandictionary.com
ris I don't get it. Just type RIS whenever you don't get something, and no-one else will get it too.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:55, closed)
As much as I resent having to agree with a big girl's blouse
I agree with big-girls-blouse.

Refugee Information Services
grand so, I'll pop in on the way home.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:57, closed)
You should
never resent agreeing with BGB, she is very agreeable.

The RIS thing, I am reliably informed, comes from a picture of a Morrisons sign where the RIS had gone out leaving Mor-ons.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:58, closed)
No 'Morrisons' here, I'm afraid
but we're quite kind to refugees it seems so that makes up for it.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 15:59, closed)
@althegeordie
I'm sure she is.
Yes, I have also heard that story.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:01, closed)
Glad that's cleared up
now why am I my own worst enemy?
Something I said?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:02, closed)
Posting child pr0n
isn't a traditional way of ingratiating yourself where I'm from. Maybe it's different if you have decrepit Morrisons signs. Enlighten me.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:03, closed)
I think there has
been a confusion, DJ didn't post the child pr0n, some other noob did. At least, I hope that's right.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:04, closed)
@al - yup - confusion
I read 'prefer' as 'refer'.

Apologies, DJ.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:06, closed)
All is understood.
Now if you don't mind, I'll be leaving.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:07, closed)
Failure stalks my every step
Another n00b lost. Poor fella's probably earning himself an ASBO as we type.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:10, closed)
Leaving the conversation, you numpty. ;)
And why the hell would I earn myself an ASBO?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:11, closed)
cos you're a yoof!
I'm too old for an ASBO. In my day, we didnt have ASBO's of course. They threw us in the army...mither, prattle, yawn.... Where's my meals-on-wheels?
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:13, closed)
@Baz
That would have been an office lol if I had an office. :D
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:16, closed)
When I were a lad
We didn't have ASBOs either. They only created them when I became an adult. THough the youth of today do mae me feel older than I am.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:18, closed)
Poor Teran.
Do we scare you with our incomprehensible slang and mysterious hoodies?

I don't own a hoodie myself. Fucking stupid things, really. Especially in the absence of precipitation.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:22, closed)
Scare me?
Nah. I'm much too confident in myself. It would be more accurate to say I feel pity for much of today's youth.

Though they're not all bad. In fact some of the teenagers/trainees I work with are quite rewarding to work with when we see them progress.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:25, closed)
So do I, so do I.
Being of superior intelligence, etcetera.

Oh, I'm so smug I could eat myself.
(, Tue 15 Jul 2008, 16:29, closed)
So
What was the story? Looks like the post was deleted...
(, Wed 16 Jul 2008, 9:37, closed)
There wasn't a story.
I was just being a grumpy/angsty sod about various 'fake' things. It won't happen again.
