Some people love the new version but can't get away with the old, and vice versa. Such is life. It's all subjective, innit?

The saving grace though, for kids now captivated by Dr Who is that there's this whole canon from the "classic" series waiting for them to discover. However, whether they'd even see it as the same show is a different matter.
