Revenge, fencing, giants, true love and Peter Cook's Impressive Clergyman -
"Mawwiage, that dweam wivvin a dweam"
Fantastic. One of the few films that are actually as good as the book.

I think it even qualifies under Meganinja's rules that you've got to be able to quote 75% of the film. On IMDB, it appears to have one of the longest lists of quotes from any film, they may as well just have popped the script in there.
"I am the Dread Pirate Roberts! There will be NO SURVIVORS!"

The film is actually better than the book.
By a significant margin too.

a rather lovely soundtrack by Mark Knopfler, I recall. But I always felt that Andre the Giant should have got the girl in the end and not Cary Elwes.

The incredibly civil sword fight between Inigo and the Man in Black is so wonderfully surreal, the two of them fighting to the death but discussing the relative merits of the tactics that they're using as they do it. Plus it leads to this:
Inigo: "Who are you?!"
Man in Black: "No-one of consequence"
Inigo: "I must know"
Man in Black: "Get used to disappointment"
Genius.
