This is a question How clean is your house?

"Part of my kitchen floor are thick with dust, grease, part of a broken mug, a few mummified oven-chips, a desiccated used teabag and a couple of pieces of cutlery", says Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic. To most people, that's filth. To some of us, that's dinner. Tell us about squalid homes or obsessive cleaners.

i was at my friend's house
i am deeply terrified by two things; a) knives and b) insects with no legs ... namely slugs. on their kitchen counter, was an unholy union of slug and kitchen knife which my friend thought would be hilarious to wave around in my face.

sometime after he convinced me to unlock myself from the bathroom, he also managed to stop me crying.

Insects have 6 legs.
A slug is a type of gastropod mollusc without a shell.

I've often wondered about this.
Surely insects that undergo complete metamorphosis are still classed as insects when they are in the pupal stage. It doesn't make sense to me for an organism to change it's class during it's lifetime. So couldn't you call a caterpillar or a maggot an insect without legs?

i thought caterpillars did have legs?

They do
Six, in fact, plus a number of fake legs (pseudopodia). I think I am right in saying that most insect larvae have legs of sorts even though they are as useful as a chocolate teapot; bee larvae are a good example of this.

Wow
I thought I was the only one terrified of slugs! They are absolutely horrifying little things. I also once got chased by a "friend" who found a slug sitting on a leaf and thought it would be fun to see me scream and run away.

im not sure if it is fear
its like when you don't like food, and its not the taste but the texture. i dont believe slugs will hurt me but the texture of them... they're just revolting. they look unsanitary. they look like a moving turd. im pretty sure they're poisonous too because my dog tried to lick one (WHY????) and yelped. iv also accidentally stood on one in bare feet and it was a good ten minutes before i stopped retching... oh i could go on...
