Definately not a film for language students.I dabbled a few years back with learning Polish, as I have relatives there I may want to visit, and visited Prague a few years ago. So, I have always been interested in Slavic languages and their similarities -- I've always been interested in language, despite being blatantly shit at learning them.
Anyhow, my interest was piqued recently by a film which was getting mentioned a lot in passing. "Great" I though "'A Serbian Film' ought to be interesting".

I didn't find it as bad as it sounds.It's not like Irriversible* where you're watching realistic looking acts -- it's more like 8mm taken to the extreme with a some dark almost tongue-in-cheek humour (well, dick in eye socket, but close enough) in the bad parts.
Probably bot one for new parents though.
*think that's what it's called -- French film with long anal rape sequence.
