First World Problems
Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

Single mothers who complain that their life is hard
I have many friends who are single mothers, so I can't usually say this. But please, don't complain about not having any support when the only reason you're in this situation is that you shagged a random stranger at a free party and didn't think that contraception fitted your free-thinking, tree-hugging, oh-so-radical ideology.
Oh, and the fact that you seem to have more money than me, and can afford foreign holidays, when I work full time in a job that required several years of study to qualify for but still can't afford to live after paying tax to fund your lifestyle, probably means I won't be too sympathetic when you tell me how difficult flying back from Ibiza with the twins was...
Sigh. I suppose I'd better go and tell the newsagent to change my Guardian order for the Daily Mail, now.

Hmm
Is this a story or a collection of sweeping generalisations. I really can't tell.

If this is trolling, well done.
If you really think this, you're a cunt. A bitter, idiotic one at that.
Have you ever heard of such a thing called "divorce"?

Or even
abandonment/abdication of responsibility, abusive relationships/domestic violence, rape?
*wishes for a "I really, really dislike this" button.

Indeed
That was just the first thing that sprang to mind for me, what with my own situation and all.

I wonder what proportion of single mothers and fathers
have an unfortunate history of abuse or widow(er)hood behind them, and how many just didn't think through the consequences of an unprotected shag.

But the OP didn't mention them.
I see no complaints in the original post about rape victims, widows, or divorcees.
This is a problem -- characterising people as something they're not by inferring things they never said.

I admit to a certain amount of trolling, here
But I'd also like to clarify that I'm actually bitching specifically about two or three particular women that I know, not about people in general. Since I can't say these things to their faces, I'm offloading here.

Perhaps a little clarification on the original post may be in order then.
The internet- it's serious business.
