This is a question First World Problems

Onemunki says: We live in a world of genuine tragedy, starvation and terror. So, after hearing stories of cruise line passengers complaining at the air conditioning breaking down, what stories of sheer single-minded self-pity get your goat?

And just in time for this QOTW...

Schiff, 46, is facing another kind of jam this year: Paid a lower bonus, he said the $350,000 he earns, enough to put him in the country’s top 1 percent by income, doesn’t cover his family’s private-school tuition, a Kent, Connecticut, summer rental and the upgrade they would like from their 1,200-square- foot Brooklyn duplex.

“I feel stuck,” Schiff said. “The New York that I wanted to have is still just beyond my reach.”

“People who don’t have money don’t understand the stress,” said Alan Dlugash, a partner at accounting firm Marks Paneth & Shron LLP in New York who specializes in financial planning for the wealthy. “Could you imagine what it’s like to say I got three kids in private school, I have to think about pulling them out? How do you do that?”

My heart bleeds for them.
Oh no, hang on. I meant: I want to murder their families in front of them while they are tied to a chair and soaked in petrol (or even gas).
I used to work with someone who got very stressed because of a property dispute over his French gite and the difficulty of finding people to rent out his investment property, what kind of horse-box trailer to buy etc. etc.

I managed to avoid killing him by tuning out whenever he started a whinge.

Yeah.
Back when I was a drafter one of the fresh-from-school junior engineers was complaining about having to pay $600 in taxes on his Christmas bonus check. He was having to pay more in taxes than I had gotten over the previous two years.

I'm still not sure how I kept myself from force feeding him his computer keyboard.
