There is a massive problem with people in any job thinking that their bonus is a given part of their rewards package.
It's not. It's a bonus. The clue is in the name.
And I say that as someone getting their full 20% this year. It's fantastic, but I wasn't relying on it because, you know, I am aware that it's a bonus.

It's not really a bonus at JLP
It's a profit share, and everyone gets the same proportion of their salary, not just a few well paid people at the top.
