This is a question Stuff I've found

Freddy Woo writes, "My non-prostitute-killing, lorry driving uncle once came home with a wedding cake. Found it in a layby, scoffed the lot over several weeks."

What's the best thing you've found?

Meaty Goodness
Twas a dark October night, and I'd just driven the last train to Canterbury - I walked through the train to make sure everyone was off and nothing was left behind - only to find this:

Just a can of spam - sitting proped up on a seat - all on it's own. I mean - WTF?!?

(No - I didn't eat it before you ask)

I've been a vegetarian for nearly 20 years now.
And I still miss spam butties.

You're kidding, right?
The only people I know who eat that stuff are from Minnesota, where they eat hotdish made with Tater Tots and cream of mushroom soup, followed by jello fruit salad.

To the rest of the country Spam is a horrid joke and the subject of a Monty Python sketch.

EDIT: on second thought, considering the stereotypes surrounding English food, perhaps some actually consider the stuff to be edible. Though in all fairness, when I was over there everything I had tasted good...

No
the Hawaiians, too, are obsessed with the stuff. Spam and Elvis. They consume more Spam in Hawaii than anywhere else in the world. There are even expensive restaraunts in Hawaii where you can eat many different Spam-based dishes, the most popular one being Spam wrapped in seaweed and rice (I'd try it...). In fact, wikipedia just told me that the Spam is often referred to as "Hawaiian Steak." *Shudders* In Hawaii, you can buy Spam everywhere...even in school cafeterias and at the zoo!
