Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

the hair loss. the tooth decay (ionescu style). the grey chest/ arm/ pubic hair. keeping very fit, so i dont make the 'hnff' sound when i get up. my girlfriend (ten years younger than me) calling my best of trance 98 albums 'old school'
all of that i can deal with
However - the 36 to 48 hour hangovers ABSOLUTELY SUCK
and there doesnt seem to be a damn thing i can do about it. apart from not drink, which defeats the object.

I also find it takes less and less alcohol to do it.
I had 4 pints of Starapramen the other week. I was ruined the next day.

God knows what's happening to me, but for some reason in my early twenties I couldn't drink for toffee. Now, I can happily stay up all night drinking until the wee small hours.
Considering I've been going grey since I was in my late teens, this is very odd.

Me, wife, 2 neighbours, Sunday barbecue.
18 bottles of beer, 3 bottles of wine, a bottle of vodka and half a bottle of Jack Daniels between the 4 of us.
I wasn't particularly pissed, but it took me till Wednesday to get over the hangover.

Spirits are somehow less hangover-inducing than wine, or what's worse - much worse - beer. Problem is, if we ever get hot weather, drink spirits and coke and you'll be waiting for others to catch up on their rounds half the time.
Hangover cure though - a wank / sex, good shit, hot shower, and food and Coke (the drinkable sort).

I used to have the hangovers from Hell, 2 to 3 days of feeling like shite, until I discovered the magic secret of not waking up feeling like death. Dead easy and I do it every time I'm on a sesh.
Water. I'll have 3 or 4 drinks and then a pint of water, repeat until falling over time. Next day I wake up a little tired, but no rough guts, no headache, nowt. Works every time.
You're welcome.
