My mother-in-law used to be a nun.
Seriously. She was a nun for some time, but ended up leaving the order and some years later, married and had children. Her sister was also a nun, but she stuck it out for a few decades. You can probably imagine what a party it is when we (the non-believers) get together with my husband's side of the family.

I don't mean to be rude,
but I think you're supposed to tell us, rather than leave it to us to imagine. It's not funny or interesting otherwise.

It's easy
Just imagine the most dull event you've ever attended. Stilted conversation, bad music if there is any, really bad food. Dull.
Now make it even duller.

I think I can do better than that.
I have an aunt who used to be a nun - must have joined the convent when she was barely out of school.
But then she left the convent to move in with her *girlfriend*. (And later left the girlfriend to move in with her boyfriend, to everyone's great disappointment because the girlfriend was a much cooler person.)

Curious indeed
My husband's aunt's wife is also a former nun. It leads to a lot of wondering on our part.
