This is a question Things I've gone off

Spimf says: I've always enjoyed listening to Pink Floyd, but lately I've noticed if my iPod plays any of their tracks, I skip them. I'm starting to realise I've gone off them. What have you gone off lately?

fried egg butties
used to be a favourite, especially as a hangover cure. now, they just taste greasy and wrong. they were the only fried food i ate, so i suppose that's a good thing

We were discussing these the other day...
Banjos - they're known as banjos (quote from wikipedia: "The term 'Banjo' coming from the actions taken when one bit into it. The yolk would drip down onto ones chest, and the sandwich would be held out to the side with one hand whilst the other hand would rub at the drips using the fingers. This gave the impression of playing an invisible banjo.")

I still love 'em though.

Have you tried adding Branston pickle?
That always made fried egg sarnies better for me
(, Mon 19 Aug 2013, 14:58, closed)
yep, tried that
and everything from oyster sauce to mayonnaise, but nothing works.

If I'm having onions and/or mushrooms on there, then I fry them in a bit of butter with lea & perrins

We've got a toaster that has an egg poacher on the side of it.
Cooks the egg as it does the toast.

I don't like fried eggs very much, I agree they're just greasy, but a poached egg in two slices of toast with some ketchup makes a pretty good alternative.
(, Mon 19 Aug 2013, 16:22, closed)
i do enjoy a poached egg on toast
with garlic salt
(, Mon 19 Aug 2013, 16:37, closed)
Alternatively nab yourself one of those microwave egg poacher thingies.

The egg sounds like it's launching salvos of artillery as it cooks.

that looks like something for women to pee into on long car journeys!

Convert to omelette sandwiches then
Alternatively, find a local takeaway when stumbling home from the pub, and get a double cheeseburger topped with doner and egg.

It's both disgraceful and fantastic.

omelettes are lovely
but cheeseburgers are a no-no
(, Mon 19 Aug 2013, 16:37, closed)
