Avarice is just another word for covetousness
Greed is the catch-all sin of craving unwarranted material possessions.
Wanting lots of food is a distinct thing called Gluttony.

Hope this clears things up.

Does that mean...
That greed is wanting more pie than you need and gluttony is actually eating it?

Balls. The sin used to be called avarice and the papists still use "avaritia" when they're drooling their filth in Latin.
