Greed
Buzzkillington says: "I once worked for Pizza Hut... Whats the the worst thing you've ever done for money?" And while we're here, tell us about greedy people you know. Money or pie, it doesn't matter.

A Star Trek Christmas
Back when I was a teen I was a shameful trekkie. When I say shameful I mean it. I had an actual billboard packed away in the shed. I had an insatiable hunger for all things trek. Something like 50 tapes of BBC2 deep space nine still reside in my parents cupboards.
But they gather dust. All because of "that" christmas. The one were all my family members, grandparents and all, knew they had the perfect christmas present for me. I was excited and happy at first. Each toy new and unique to my huge trek collection, box sets and motion pictures, the lot. But when it came to my final present (a enterprise d with mini bridge and figurines) it struck.
I looked around the room. My brother playing with his RC car and nerf gun. And my pile of Trek merchandise. A really big pile of Trek merchandise. I cried. And I cried. And I cried. It was like getting so drunk you finally got sober again. Everything was locked away. I got a small present to make up but more so I think to encourage my break away from my obsession.
I now read Iain M Banks and plan on having my brain frozen. Much more mature.

No
I wanted it taken away. I genuinely got a big fright over how obsessed I had become with it.

Not quite the same realisation of horror, but....
Me and a friend went to Games Worksop's Games Day in 1997, about halfway through the day, we grabbed a drink and sat down, both about age 13 and decided to give it up, we concluded we would never get girlfriends if we carried on for any longer, so cheers sweaty, spotty masses in the NEC that day, we would still be in your ranks today if you had not shown us the way.

You guys are pussies
I'm still a massive Trekkie, I compulsively collect Transformers, I've got a Stormtrooper guarding the kitchen door and I'm painting a 40K Ork army. I fucking love being a geek.

Trufax.
Whilst you knew that Razer was going to win, it was a bit like watching Michael Schumacher grind out another technically perfect victory.
Hypnodisc made the opposition fly apart in a much more satisfying manner :)

Heartbreaking
I feel your pain, brother. Massive Trekkie until an embarrassing age. A friend and I even collected the Star Trek fact files all the way school and college... it's a bit of an embarrassing shared memory when we meet up now.

Sorry but.....
AN Enterprise D.....
I know I'm an arsesole, but I can't stand it....
A Enterprise D..... just grates my nerves, I've ignored it for a while, but I had to come back! You hate me, I hate me, I still can't help myself!
(It's the same urge I get when a kid asks me "Can I have a drink? My automatic response? Can I have a drink PLEASE?)
Please don't hate me, spelling, punctuation and grammar mistakes just jump at me and give me sleepless nights, I can't help it!
EDIT: I'm actually going to go to sleep just fine! Exaggeration is another of my foibles.....
