...I have a friend who lived in South Africa for a year. On her return she made some comment about having missed out on 12 months' worth of The Archers, and how she was keen to catch up on the latest happenings.
What could I say? The only thing possible. "Well, L, cast your mind back to what was happening before you left 13 months ago. It's exactly the same."

...my parents leave the country for months at a time; before they set off, they buy a big pack of blank tapes and ask me to record the Archers omnibus for them every sunday. Then they come back to the UK and get rid of the jetlag by having an Archers marathon.
Weirdos.
