This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

That Drivers Side thing
I pull up to the nearest empty slot whichever side it is. All the pumps reach to both sides these days and so I have an edge over people like you who halve their options.

I never once considered the possibility that other drivers thought I was a numpty who didn't remember which side the petrol cap was. If they do then more fool them.

Ha!
Look at that idiot, driving quickly past me and filling up his car while I'm sat here waiting patiently! He looks like such an idiot, filling his car from the wrong side! Honestly, some people today- it's like an idiocracy or something.

Look at him, driving off! Joke's on you, buddy- the car at MY pump's just about finished buying his week's worth of shopping. If he was a sensible, right minded person like me, he'd be over there queuing behind that old guy in the Agila on the other side of his pump.

Some people, eh?

I used to do this...
I even convinced the now ex that she should do this too until one day we were driving through the arse end of nowhere and she had to fill her car at a small town garage. She takes the hose to the far side of the car, it doesn't have much give, she ends up squeezing the handle and gets covered in petrol. I giggled uncontrollably for a while and have always used the "correct" side pumps since.
