Bizarre habits
Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Due to an irrational fear of static electricity...
...I always tap doors before opening, never touch racks in clothes shops, and avoid Van der Graaf Generators where humanly possible.

Hey, I'm not a rationalist
I think everyone should be allowed to eat as much as they like

Probably not irrational
If you've been zapped as many times as I have. The server room here is terrible for it (I'm sure that can't be a good thing electronically)
I tend to shut my car door by the window, as the car can get pretty bad for it too.
I'm sure this is rubber on the bottom of my shoes - makes no difference!

I get shocked by cars all the time
after having conducted a series of experiments over time, and reviewing the results of such with an impartial board of scientists (/offtopic) I've concluded that there is a bigger potential difference between me and stuff.

Too true.
Hold the window frame (anything metal) as you put your foot down getting out of the car. Works for me.

I get shocked getting in or out of the car
I've been shocked 3 times in one getting-out-of-the-car manoeuvre before, and then got shocked again when I opened the boot.

Cars with fabric seats + petrol = BANG
In the States, they have lock-on fuel pumps. There's a fair number of films on youtube where the driver puts on the nozzle, locks the flow, and gets back in, rubbing their polyester 56" hips on all that lovely acrylic upholstery.
Then they get out, and grab the nozzle... www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuZxFL9cGkI&feature=related
