Helicopter Parents
Back when young ScaryDuck worked in the Dole office rather than simply queuing in it, he had to deal with a claimant brought in by his mum. She did all the talking. He was 40 years old.
Have you had to deal with over-protective parents? Get your Dad to tell us all about it.

Bad influences?
I was never allowed to watch Power Rangers.
I think this was because I am a girl, and it wasn't considered girly. Also, it was 'too violent' because I was obviously going to start kicking the other children in the playground.
I wasn't allowed Pokemon Cards either because 'it's like gambling' and 'a waste of money.' I do agree with the second reason, but I managed to collect hundreds of them (shinies included!) by swapping rubbish ones friends gave me. I was a Pokemon master & didn't even spend any of my parent's money.
They cut my hair short, and for most of my life until the age of 11 I looked like a boy and was ALWAYS mistaken for one.
Perhaps they aren't overprotective, just weird.

Hey, you can see their point
Lord Z, one of the bad guys in the early episodes, had to be toned down for being "too evil".
One of the best bad-guy introductions ever, though. Teleports in with a screenful of lightning, turns a fuck-off-huge snake into a staff of some description and generally looks scary.

OMG
I'm not the only one!!! And my name is Kimberley too! So in the playground, the other kids expected me to play a pink power ranger in their game... I had NO IDEA what i was supposed to do but had to try and play along so as not to let on that i was uncool and not allowed to watch it!
WHY do parents insist on making small childrens school lives hell by forcing them to be uncool???
