That may be true
However there is quite compelling evidence that a liver ravaged by past overindulgence is drastically reduced in it's function. Unfortunately it's not possible to conduct an experiment to find out, if I hadn't consumed prodigious amounts of alcohol in my youth, would I still be such a whimpering Jessie in my 30's
