Yep.
Had a French client try to retain my services full-time for an entire year on an open freelance contract basis, thus ensuring they wouldn't have to pay any of that pesky salary, tax, social security or insurance, and conveniently ignoring the fact that working for them full-time for a year would have resulted in me losing all my other clients.
