This is a question Hitchhiking and fare dodging

Epic tales of the thumb, the open road and getting robbed by hairy-arsed truck drivers. Alternatively, travelling for free like a dreadful fare-jumping cheat. Confess.

Don't have to pay salary, tax, social security, insurance etc.
Get a pair of English saps to work on your house all week for nothing but meals and a couple of cheap flights.

Had a French client try to retain my services full-time for an entire year on an open freelance contract basis, thus ensuring they wouldn't have to pay any of that pesky salary, tax, social security or insurance, and conveniently ignoring the fact that working for them full-time for a year would have resulted in me losing all my other clients.
